Welcome to Porto/Post/Doc 2018. The Opening Ceremony takes place today at 9:45 p.m., at Cinema Trindade, with the screening of Kaiser: The Greatest Footballer Never To Play Football, by Louis Myles. The director will present the session.
On this first day we highlight the screenings for families at 2:30 p.m., Teatro Municipal do Porto - Rivoli. A Family Ticket costs 5 euro (two adults and two children).
Cinema Novo Competition also begins today with the screening of many films directed by Portuguese students or students of Portuguese schools. The sessions takes place at 4:30 p.m., also at Rivoli, followed by the program When We Were Kids It Was Always Summer, at 6:30 p.m.. Curated by David Pinheiro Vicente and Duarte Coimbra, it brings together first films by emergent Portuguese directors.
Passos Manuel will held two screenings: Geni, by Luís Vieira Campos, at 7:00 p.m., and Ainda Tenho um Sonho ou Dois - A História dos Pop Dell'Arte, by Nuno Galopim and Nuno Duarte, at 10:00 p.m., with the presence of the directors.
After that, João Peste and José Pedro Moura will host the first party of the festival, starting at midnight!
